Whats the difference between an acid and a base? Are they dangerous? What's a chemical reaction? In this series of classes, students will measure pH, and speed up and slow down reactions. A different chemistry topic and cool take-home each week.
Chem in a Flash
Take a trip through Chemical Reactions. Experiment with quick-acting reactions such as precipitation and acid-base reactions, test limiting reagents, and an electrolysis demonstration.
Dry Ice Capades
Probe the shifting states of matter; observe melted and resolidified metal; use Dry Ice to explore properties of matter at extreme temperatures; test volumetric differences between solids and gases.
Junior Reactors
Demonstration of physical and chemical reactions; hands-on experiments to understand the size of atoms; explore how atoms join together and how molecules react.
pH Phactor
Students explore the crazy chemistry of acids and bases and pH Phactors. Apply pH testing to common household chemicals, then bring a mystery liquid to a perfect pH balance.
Slime Time
Students will examine the properties of slime through models and hands-on activities. Create concoctions and test them in the Slime Olympics.
